PR 3337 HART Temperature Converter

The PR 3337 HART Temperature Converter is a high-performance temperature converter ideal for industrial process control, automation, and instrumentation systems where accurate temperature measurement and digital communication are essential. This HART-compatible temperature converter accepts standard Pt100 RTD and thermocouple (TC J & K) sensor inputs. The 3337, from PR electronics, then provides both an isolated analog 4–20 mA output and a digital HART 7 communication signal for advanced diagnostics and configuration.

Built for demanding environments, the PR 3337 HART Temperature Converter delivers excellent conversion accuracy, better than 0.05 % of span, as well as selectable fast or damped response times (60 ms/60 s). Thus, the 3337 is ideal for responsive feedback in industrial control loops. Its robust 2-port galvanic isolation (2.5 kVAC) eliminates ground loops, suppresses noise and transients, and protects sensitive PLC, DCS, and SCADA inputs.

Featuring more than 1,000 pre-calibrated temperature ranges and selectable internal/external cold junction compensation, this loop-powered HART temperature converter offers flexible configuration with DIP switches or full HART read/write capability. The slim 6.1 mm DIN-rail housing supports high-density panel mounting, thus saving space in control cabinets. Furthermore, rugged terminal protection guards against over-voltage, polarity reversal, and short circuits.
