The PR 5332 RTD Temperature Transmitter is a precision industrial signal transmitter for accurate temperature measurement using resistance temperature detectors (RTDs). This compact temperature transmitter accepts Pt100, Ni100, RTD, or linear resistance inputs and converts them into a reliable 4-20 mA current output. Thus, the 5332 Series, from PR electronics, is ideal for integration into process control systems, automation networks, and industrial instrumentation applications.
- Linearized temperature measurement with Pt100-Pt1000 or Ni100-Ni1000 sensors.
- Conversion of linear resistance variation to a standard analog current signal, for example, from valves or Ohmic level sensors.
- Model PR 5332A is suitable for general use applications and also features certifications for hazardous areas including: Zone 2, ATEX, IECEx, and CSA.
- Model PR 5332D includes FM certification as well as ATEX, IECEx, and CSA, and is suitable for Zone 0, 1, 2, 21, 22, M1 / Div 1, Div 2.
- Model PR 5332N is a simplified version and does not feature any special approvals for use.
PR 5332 RTD Temperature Transmitter from PR electronics
The PR 5332 RTD Temperature Transmitter offers high-accuracy performance, better than ±0.05% of the selected range, as well as a programmable response time of 1-60s. Furthermore, the 5332 Series ensures stable, linearized temperature readings even in demanding environments. It includes sensor error detection and programmable error signaling (including NAMUR NE43 upscale/downscale), thus enabling enhanced diagnostics and safety in critical control loops. This transmitter supports cable compensation for 2-, 3-, and 4-wire RTD connections, and as a result, reduces measurement errors due to lead resistance and by ensuring accurate data transmission.
- Within a few seconds users can program the PR 5332 Series to measure temperatures within all ranges defined by the norms.
- Dedicated programmable non-isolated 4-wire RTD transmitter.
- RTD and resistance inputs have cable compensation for 2-, 3- and 4-wire connection.
- Continuous check of vital storage data for safety reasons.
Easy Mounting, Installation, and Programming
The 5332 Series features a compact, head-mount design that fits standard DIN form B sensor heads, thus optimizing space in control cabinets. In addition, model 5332A can mount on DIN-rails with the optional PR 8421 fitting type. Providing industrial reliability, the PR 5332 Series operates across a wide temperature range and offers robust EMC immunity, which makes it a dependable choice for temperature monitoring in manufacturing, energy, and process industries.
- Supports DIN form B sensor head mounting.
- Model PR 5332A also supports DIN rail mounting with the PR fitting type 8421.
