The PR 9107 HART Transparent Driver is a high-performance industrial signal driver for precise control and reliable communication in process automation systems. The 9107, from PR electronics, is suitable for both single-channel and dual-channel applications. Furthermore, the PR 9107 Series delivers galvanically isolated 1:1 current driving capability, making it ideal for powering and controlling I/P converters, valves, and indicators in safe or hazardous areas. Its bi-directional HART transparency ensures seamless communication with HART-enabled field devices, thus allowing real-time diagnostics, configuration, and monitoring without signal loss or interference.

  • Operation and drive control of I/P converters, valves, and indicators.
  • Operation of HART devices is possible as the unit transmits HART communication signals bi-directionally.
  • The PR 4500 Series displays the process value for each channel and can also define high and low limits for detection of loop current level. If these limits are exceeded, the status relay will activate.
  • Dual channel versions can operate in signal splitter applications - 1 in and 2 out.
  • Models in the 9107 Series are galvanically isolated, intrinsically safe, and feature various certifications for use in hazardous areas as well as marine applications.

The PR 9107 HART Transparent Driver features fast response times (< 5 ms), high load drive (725 Ω at 20 mA), and robust output line fault detection via status relay. Furthermore, the 9107 Series ensures dependable performance under industrial conditions. SIL 2 certification per IEC 61508 attests to its suitability in safety-related systems where functional reliability is critical.

  • The PR 4500 detachable displays as well as the green and red front LEDs indicate operation status for each channel.
  • A tag number can be defined for each channel.
