The PR 9202 Pulse Isolator is a high-reliability industrial signal isolation solution for interfacing NAMUR sensors and mechanical switches with safety-critical control systems. Ideal for robust performance in process automation, this DIN-rail mountable isolator provides advanced self-diagnostics, cable-fault detection and optional SIL 2 certification. Thus, the 9202, from PR electronics, is ideal for applications requiring enhanced functional safety and compliance with IEC 61508 standards.

  • Configuration and monitoring by way of detachable display front: PR 4500 Series. 
  • Selection of direct or inverted function for each channel via PR 4500.
  • Advanced monitoring of internal communication and storage data.
  • Optional redundant supply via power rail and/ or separate supply.
  • SIL 2 functionality is optional and users must activate it in a menu point.
  • Models in the 9202 Series are intrinsically safe and feature various certifications for use in hazardous areas as well as for marine applications.
  • Model PR 9202A
    • Suitable for use in safe areas and can also mount in Zone 2 / Class I, Div 2, Groups A, B, C, D.
    • Ideal for transmission of signals from NAMUR sensors and mechanical switches.

PR 9202 Pulse Isolator from PR electronics

The 9202 Series is available with one or two channels and configurable direct or inverted pulse functions via the detachable PR 4500 front display. Furthermore, the PR 9202 Pulse Isolator delivers flexible signal conditioning for a wide range of industrial environments. Its extended status indication, including individual and collective error signaling, allows operators to quickly identify system issues and improve uptime. Optional redundant power supply further increases resiliency in mission-critical installations.

  • Monitoring of error events and cable breakage via the individual status relay and/or a collective electronic signal via the power rail.
  • The PR 9202 Series has been designed, developed, and certified for use in SIL 2 applications according to the requirements of IEC 61508.
  • Failure rates for the 9202 correspond to Performance Level "d" according to ISO-13849.

 

Easy Mounting, Installation, and Programming

The PR 9202 Series accepts NAMUR input frequencies up to 5 kHz while providing reinforced 2.6 kVAC galvanic isolation between input, output, and power. A compact footprint and wide temperature range ensure seamless integration into automation, energy, oil & gas, and manufacturing systems. Users can depend on the PR 9202 Pulse Isolator for accurate signal transmission, enhancing safety integrity, and providing reliable performance under demanding conditions.

  • 1 green and 2 yellow/red front LEDs indicate operation status and malfunction.
