The XL Prime Series features all-in-one control and performs all machine functions in a unified hardware design: Logic Control, Operator Interface, I/O, and Networking. These HMI controllers are feature a modern memory architecture that relies a custom design SOM (System on Module), utilizing a powerful ARM microprocessor as well as 100% non-volatile memory for reliability. With high-performance logic engines, the XL6 Prime PLC controller, from Horner Automation, offers fast scan times, thus solving user logic using Variable-based Advanced Ladder logic or the IEC 6-1131 language set.
Online Programming and Remote Control
Online programming is made available through WebMI, MQTT Sparkplug, and the Horner App, which also allows for remote control and enables users to make logic changes without stopping the controller. Communication is based on EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, BACnet IP, FTP file transfer, in addition to email. Collected data can be logged for example, record machine and process variables, which can be saved to a microSD or USB Flash Drive.
Fast Processing and Response Time
The screen is a high-resolution color touchscreen that is capable of displaying detailed graphics and nearly instantaneous screen updates. Furthermore, the XL Prime Series PLC controller series includes an advanced high-speed counter with four built-in counters supporting frequencies over 500 kHz.
Advanced Features of XL6 Prime PLC Controller
Logic engine features 1MB of application memory with a 0.02mS/K logic scan and also supports an online programming mode for making logic changes on the fly without going thru stop mode.
