MODULARITY The eWON Flexy is fully modular. Building your eWON Flexy begin with a choice of three base modules allowing you to connect to a wide range of industrial devices through various field protocols. The selection of extension cards will allow you to choose the best connectivities that fits your needs. 4 X LAN ETHERNET PORT Connect your device directly into the eWON Flexy to reach remotely over the VPN. In most cases this will limit the need to include an additional switch in the panel. SERIAL GATEWAY By choosing the eWON Flexy 202 base, you will have access to large PLC support over RS232/RS485/422. MPI GATEWAY By choosing the eWON Flexy 203 base, you will have access to large PLC support over MPI. SECURE VPN CONNECTIVITY A fully secure SSL-based VPN tunnel is used for all traffic. The information exchanged during the communication is encrypted via SSL (2048-bit key) allowing only authenticated users to connect to the eWON. PLUG'N ROUTE The plug'n route feature allows to connect any Ethernet devices without the need to configure the gateway. No need to stop the machine while configuring the eWON. INTEGRATED WIFI & CELLULAR CONNECTIVITY WiFi and cellular modems allow Internet connectivity while avoiding a connection on the factory/corporate LAN network. They offer free access, high bandwidth, easy deployment (no cabling) and facilitates secure network management. CLOUD ACCELERATED LOADING As speed of connection may be limited in some remote access situations, the eWON Flexy offers a powerful Cloud accelerated loading feature to access your eWON web HMI faster. Thanks to this you will only have to download your javascript library once as long as you do not make any change. I/O SERVER The eWON Flexy is able to perform local data acquisition using the serial port or Ethernet port. The data acquisition process is built around a tagged database in which each tag is associated with an I/O server. The eWON Flexy is compatible with all major protocols. You are also able to create your own I/O server to make sure your eWON Flexy is compatible with any equipment.
