This Enhanced Chart Recorder solution, from Horner Solutions Group, is a ready-to-use solution for customers looking for an out of the box Chart Recorder and Datalogger solution. The Chart Recorder monitors 4-20 mA and/or PT100 RTD signals from the field, which can then scale into a display reading and data point. This Chart Recorder can present the data in several manners ranging from graph-centric to numeral-centric. These scalable values also have an engineering units’ field. Furthermore, all of these visual options are selectable by the operator.
Functions of the Enhanced Horner Chart Recorder
Each signal trends and exports in files on MicroSD as a comma separated variable (CSV) format. Alarm setpoints allow for enunciation of Warning and Alarm levels, both high and low, for each signal. Each display showing readings has four positions, one for each signal. Flexible configuration allows for any analog channel to route to any of the four positions. It allows for rearrangement of the order on the screen without re-wiring. It also allows for one signal to display in multiple scales, e.g. both ˚C and ˚F temperatures from the same RTD input.
Continuous datalogging is optionally available and the data writes to Excel-friendly (CSV) files. When enabled, one daily file is created for each of up to 4 enabled signals. In addition, all signals log to a single file if no Recording is active. Continuous Warning / Alarm condition datalogging is also enabled and data is written to Excel-friendly (CSV) files with one file daily made for all enabled Warnings / Alarms that may occur. A daily file is not written if no Warnings / Alarms are enabled, or if no Warnings/Alarms occur over the course of a day.
Users can create specific recordings, or Records, separately from the continuous recordings. You can stop or start the creation of records in several ways: manually, timed, and RTC schedule. A Record takes over both the "all signals" and the Warning / Alarms datalog files. A Record file, either signal recordings or Warning / Alarm recordings, may span 2 or more days in a single file. Notification of a new Record can send via e-mail when the recording completes. Files are optionally available if they remain under 1,000 datalog entries. Record and all datalog files are retrievable via FTP.
