Micro CPU Series, PLC Controllers

Compact, reliable, and easy to integrate, Horner Micro CPUs are modular automation controllers that will keep your systems running smarter and more efficiently than ever. Horner’s trusted Micro OCS Series has long delivered unbeatable value in automation control by combining affordability with powerful features and reliability. Now, the Micro OCS family expands with the new Micro CPU Series, built for users who want dependable performance, and flexible design, from a PLC in a DIN-rail mountable format.

Modular PLC, HMI, and I/O
The Micro CPU250 packs robust control, built-in I/O, Ethernet, and USB connectivity into a compact, display-free unit - ideal for demanding industrial environments and tight spaces. It’s perfect for new installations or retrofits, offering reliable performance even in extreme temperatures and environments. Need the same performance without onboard I/O? The Micro CPU200 offers all the CPU250’s features in a scalable design that’s perfect for OEMs and system integrators, just without the built-in I/O.

With its modular design, both models of the Micro CPU Series support local I/O expansion through Horner OCS-I/O modules. In addition, Horner HMI Connect displays can easily integrate into the automation control system making this set-up truly flexible and future-ready.

Micro CPU Series PLC Automation Controllers

The Micro CPU Series packs Horner Automation's trusted performance for automation control into a small, streamlined package. The Micro CPU200 and Micro CPU250 provide the same reliable, powerful control capabilities as the rest of the well-established Micro OCS Series - just without a built-in display. Best of all, it easily mounts on a DIN-rail. Furthermore, the Micro CPU Series of PLC automation controllers can easily expand with up to 7 Horner OCS-I/O modules locally and beyond with additional OCS-I/O bases.

With the Micro CPU200 and Micro CPU250, operators can easily connect and manage equipment. The Micro CPU Series features a USB-C programming port and support for serial, Ethernet, and CAN communications as a standard, as well as support for WebMI for use as a remote interface. The Micro CPU250 offers all the same amazing features as the CPU200, but it also includes built-in I/O for an even more streamlined solution. Our Micro CPU modular automation controllers bring powerful control and flexible and expandable input and output options together in one easy-to-install device, perfect for a wide range of industrial applications. With Modbus capabilities, the possibilities with the Micro CPU Series are endless!

Horner Micro CPU200 PLC

The Micro CPU200 bundles the same features and specifications as the Micro CPU250, but without the built-in I/O points. Its robust design, intuitive programming environment, and scalable architecture make the Micro CPU200 the perfect choice for OEMs, system integrators, and industrial engineers looking to maximize productivity and minimize downtime. And remote I/O can always be added at a later time via Horner OCS-I/O modules!

Horner Micro CPU250 with Built-in I/O

The Micro CPU250 provides dependable performance in tough environments, operating smoothly even in extreme temperatures. Whether building new machines or upgrading existing systems, the Micro CPU250 PLC delivers the reliability and flexibility necessary to keep operations running efficiently - all in a space-saving design.

The CPU250 comes with a great amount of onboard I/O. Up to 34 I/O points – a whopping 16 (8 in + 8 out) of which can configure as analog! The Micro CPU250 modular automation controller brings powerful control and flexible and expandable input and output options together in one easy-to-install device, perfect for a wide range of industrial applications.

Horner OCS-I/O – Remote Input / Output

OCS-IO-Remote-I-O-Horner-Automation-Controllers-Input-Output-PCS-Texas

The Horner Micro CPU Series features a dedicated Horner OCS-I/O port that can be used in conjunction with another rack of OCS-I/O modules (1 base + up to 7 modules) that can also be treated as local, synchronous I/O. This dedicated port provides 24V power to the remote I/O base to provide a very simplified connection to all of your modular automation controller hardware and reduce the number of terminal connections necessary in the panel wiring.

  • local expansion I/O or remote I/O up to 500 meters away
  • expandable with up to 7 modules per base and 16 bases per network
  • screw-type terminals standard; spring-clamp style optional
  • nine I/O modules to choose from, all with different I/O capabilities
  • compact design to allow easy installation into existing control systems
  • configures with easy-to-use, free Cscape programming software
