The PR 5343 Level Transmitter is a high-precision, programmable loop-powered signal transmitter for accurate level and resistance-based measurement applications in industrial automation and process control. Ideal for use with potentiometer or ohmic input sensors, the 5343, from PR electronics, converts resistance variation into a standardized 4-20 mA analog output that integrates seamlessly with PLCs, DCS systems, and SCADA monitoring platforms.

  • Conversion of resistance variation to standard analog current signals, for example, from Ohmic level sensors or valve positions.
  • User-defined linearization function can activate.
  • Models in the 5343 Series are intrinsically safe and feature multiple, different certifications for use in hazardous areas, including, ATEX and IECEx, and is suitable for use in marine applications.
  • Model PR 5343A is certified for hazardous areas Zone 2 / Div 2.
  • Model PR 5343B also includes FM certification and is suitable for Zone 0, 1, 2, 21, 22, M1 / Div 1, Div 2.

With advanced calibration and linearization functions, the PR 5343 Series ensures reliable volume or level measurement from liquids in tanks and vessels. Furthermore, the 5343 Level Transmitter is easily programmable via standard PC tools and PReset software with Loop Link interface for quick configuration. Its programmable sensor error detection and corrective span adjustment deliver improved measurement accuracy and process integrity, even in demanding industrial environments.

  • Within a few seconds, users can program the PR 5343 Series to measure within the defined Ohmic values. 
  • Continuous check of vital storage data for safety reasons.
  • The transmitter protects against polarity reversal.
  • The PR 5343 Level Transmitter configures to the current task by way of a PC using PReset software and the communications interface Loop Link.
  • The PRelevel configuration tool within the PReset software has been developed specifically for the configuration of level applications.
  • Among other things, it contains a function for "on line" measurement of input span as well as a linearization function for volume linear output from horizontal cylindrical tanks.
