The PR 7501 Field-Mounted Temperature Transmitter is a robust industrial signal transmitter for accurate and reliable temperature measurement in demanding process environments. Ideal for direct field installation, the 7501, from PR electronics, supports a wide range of sensor inputs including RTD, thermocouple (TC), linear resistance, as well as bipolar mV. Furthermore, the PR 7501 converts inputs into a standardized 4-20 mA output with HART 7 communication, fully backward compatible with HART 5 systems for advanced diagnostics and configuration.
- 0, 90, 180, and 270 degree position adjustments.
- Monitoring, programming, and diagnostics view.
- Extensive diagnostics with flashing red or white backlight.
- Supports 7 languages.
- This product features an aluminum housing and is suitable for use in safe areas.
- A 316 stainless steel housing PR 7501 is also available.
- An intrinsically safe PR 7501 is also available for use in hazardous areas.
- In addition, the PR 7501 features certification for use in marine applications.
PR 7501 Field-Mounted Temperature Transmitter from PR electronics
The PR 7501 can feature a high-definition local operator interface (LOI) with three optical buttons and a selectable red or white backlight. The LOI on the PR 7501 Field-Mounted Temperature Transmitter simplifies in-field setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting without opening the enclosure. Its rugged aluminum housing meets global safety standards.
- Linearized temperature measurement with TC and RTD sensors, for example, Pt100 and Ni100.
- HART communication and 4-20 mA analog PV output for individual, difference, or average temperature measurement of up to two RTD or TC input sensors.
- Conversion of linear resistance to a standard analog current signal, for example, from valves or Ohmic level sensors.
- Amplification of bipolar mV signals to standard 4-20 mA current signals.
- Up to 63 transmitters (HART 7) can connect in a multidrop communication setup.
- NAMUR NE43 and NE89.
- Users can change the HART protocol revision to either HART 5 or HART 7 protocol.
Easy Mounting, Installation, and Programming
The PR 7501 excels in demanding industrial use, offering programmable response times, exceptional signal-to-noise performance, as well as support for individual, differential, or average temperature measurement from up to two sensors. The PR 7501 Field-Mounted Temperature Transmitter supports for up to 63 devices in a multidrop HART network. Furthermore, it offers comprehensive diagnostics including flashing backlight indicators, ensuring precise process control and reducing downtime. Whether in service in chemical processing, energy production, or heavy industrial automation, the PR 7501 delivers unmatchable temperature monitoring performance and operational reliability.
- Configuration via the optional LOI through PR guided menu.
- PReset and HART modem.
- HHC, DCS, or AMS via HART.
- The PR 7501 provides the necessary failure data (SFF and PFDAVG) for SIL applications as per IEC 61508 / IEC 61511.
- Mounting on 1.5-2" pipe bracket or on wall / bulkhead.
