PR 7916 Backplane for PR 9000 Series

The PR 7916 Backplane for PR 9000 Series is a rugged, industrial interface solution. It simplifies and secures signal routing between PR 9000 intrinsically safe (I.S.) devices and standard automation systems such as PLCs and DCS platforms. Ideal for high-density I/O integration, this compact backplane supports up to 16 PR 9000 Series units and enables direct, redundant, and duplicate signal transmission. In addition, the 7916, from PR electronics, supports HART I/O and HART MUX connectivity for streamlining process automation wiring. This modular design supports analog input / output and digital input / output signals while maintaining SIL2 functional safety for installation with PR 9000 Series modules.

• The 7916 backplane is a compact and robust solution that enables a safe and easy connection of PR 9000 Series I.S. device signals into standard automation systems.
• Standard automation system cables and connectors link the backplane to I/O cards.
• The PR 7916 backplane is suitable for Direct, Redundant, Duplicate signaling including HART I/O System connectivity (HART MUX).
• PR 9000 Series devices isolate and convert analog input / output (AI / AO) and digital input / output (DI / DO) signals coming from, or going to I.S. areas.
• In addition, the PR 7916 routes input / output signals to a system automation I/O card. 
• The PR 9000 Series maintains a SIL2 level of functional safety, even when mounting in the backplane solution.
• For smaller systems, the PR 7908 Backplane is also available and supports up to 8 modules.
